Music Monday Nears 5 Year Mark!
I started Music Monday after my magical music mentor Michael made a birthday request in March of 2020. He asked people to do outside their comfort zone, record it, share it on social media and tag him. I had returned to songwriting and music creation in 2018 but had yet to share or perform online. Taking his birthday wish to heart, I shared the song I was working on "Come On Home" and tagged him. The rest is history. It was so fun I did it the following Monday and 246 Mondays after that.
Today marks the 247th Music Monday episode and we are counting down to 260 (5 years). In that time, I have missed only one episode due to illness and posted 1 late episode (on a Tuesday morning). Otherwise, I have 247 consecutive music shares. It has been an incredible growth experience for me and helped me connect more closely with my music and online community.

I post to IG and FB every week. I also plan to do an online concert in celebration of the big 5 year mark. I'll provide details as we get closer.

NEW SONG RELEASE: Bring It On
This song is special to me. I wrote it when my sister was going through her first round of chemo for follicular lymphoma. It was intended as a "fight song" of sorts. I released it on June 5th - her birthday. She is currently in remission, so we have much to celebrate.

NEW SONG RELEASE: Put It On
After over a year, I released a new song on May 1, 2023 titled "Put It On." It is a song about growth and self preservation.

We finished our new song, So Good and are looking for a home for it in sync. It was a quick turn around and a lot of fun to work with Hilary on this upbeat jazz/bossa groove with her husband, Mark Bassey, on trombone.

International Songwriting Competition Semifinalist
”I Will Speak Up” was a Semi-Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition! 🎶🌟🎶 There were over 21,000 songs submitted for this competition so it feels great to make it to this next stage.
